President's Corner
Luci Styles Payne, MA, CEAP
President 2023-2025
President’s Letter
The Northern Ohio Chapter of the Employee Assistance Professionals Association
So much has changed since 1988 when I first came to EAPA. We have seen significant changes in technology, our workplaces, politics as well as in many other areas of our world. We have experienced awful natural disasters, intolerable increases in crimes against humanity, mass shootings and assaults to our safety and basic needs. Our industry has evolved to keep pace with the constant changes, but we can’t stop any time soon as there is much more work to be done.
It is an honor to serve as the NEO-EAPA President and work with all of the amazing women and men that have shaped our chapter. During my term I hope to reignite interest in some of our previous members and find new members that share our passion for helping. Membership across all EAPA chapters in the United States is unstable at a time when more than ever, we need a strong community. COVID forced us to move to a virtual format, we can now use that to our advantage as the boundaries have been removed and we can welcome members from near and far.
I welcome your participation and feedback over the next two years to help strengthen our chapter and continue to move with the tide. I am nothing more than a conduit, bringing together all of your great thoughts and ideas to help keep our chapter exciting and relevant.
In your service,
Luci
